The book Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was written by 3 authors. The script was written by Jack Thorne, and the script structure was supervised by John TIffany. And, writer of the 7 other Harry Potter books, J. K. Rowling, ensured that all characters were tied into the plot correctly ("Who Wrote ‘Harry Potter And The Cursed Child’? J.K. Rowling Had Help").
Joanne K. Rowling Born in 1965, J. K. Rowling wrote one of the worlds most popular series-Harry Potter. She applied for Oxford, but ended up going to the University of Exeter. As a single mother (after leaving her marraige through divorce), she moved to Edinburgh with her daughter to live near her sister. She wanted to write a play, but was no playwrite. So, she found a director and writer to assist her. From this search she concluded that Jack Thorne and John TIffany would be the perfect crew for development ("J.K. Rowling Biography").

The Purpose In the book Harry Potter and the Cursed Child it can be seen that the authors imbedded many libretarian values in each of the characters ("What Libertarians Can Learn from Harry Potter and the Cursed Child"). One of the big points can be seen in Albus (Harry's son). On Albus's first day he is being pressured by two sides in attempt to conform him (or atleast thats how he feels). This idea is libretarian because it shows Albus that he doesn't just have two paths to follow, and later in the book Albus follows chooses his own path to follow. The secondary libretarian qualitity can be seen when we compare Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to any of the past books. In the past books there was a corrupt all-ruling closed goverment. In this book we see that former fighters against corruption (Harry, Hermione) become the goverment. This is another big libretarian quality, the ability to fight for a better goverment and change the goverment from the inside out.
